Elizabeth Hampton P.T., BCIA-PMDB, Clinic Owner
Elizabeth Hampton is a physical therapist in practice since 1987, specializing in pelvic ring dysfunction and movement re-education. Since 2006, Mrs. Hampton has been faculty for the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, providing continuing education courses in women's health physical therapy to health care providers across the United States. Elizabeth earned her BS in PT from Marquette University in 1987. She earned her post-bac Certificate in Women's Health Physical Therapy in 2002 and is also a trained childbirth educator and doula. Elizabeth earned the Rehabilitation Certification in Pilates through Polestar Pilates Education in 2003 and integrates the Pilates method into manual therapy and rehabilitation. She earned certification in Pelvic Muscle Dysfunction Biofeedback through the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America in 2005. In 2005, she was chosen to serve on the committee writing test items for the Women's Health Physical Therapy Board Certification exam through the APTA. She is a published author and has designed and instructed continuing education courses relating to pelvic floor dysfunction and Pilates-based rehabilitation. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Section on Women's Health as well as the Washington State Physical Therapy Association. Elizabeth is married with 2 children.

Juliana Bohn, Physical Therapist
Juliana Bohn is a graduate of Cleveland State University’s program in Physical Therapy, Juliana is currently completing her advanced certification in manual therapy through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (www.NAIOMT.com).
With over 25 years of clinical experience as a PT and educator, Bohn has an extensive background in sports, dance, pelvic ring and orthopedic physical therapy as well as orthotics fabrication. Juliana is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the section on Orthopedics, and the Washington State Physical Therapy Association. She is active in yoga, trail running, and ballroom dancing, with extensive training in the Argentine Tango.

Sandy Hayner, Physical Therapist Sandy Hayner is a physical therapist in practice since 1987, specializing in orthopedic manual therapy. She graduated from Oregon State University in 1983, and earned her certificate in physical therapy from the Mayo School of Health Related Science in spring 1986. She has been studying with the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy since 1996, and is currently working through the level III curriculum for both spine and extremity manual therapy (www.NAIOMT.com). She successfully completed the level II examination, earning a pass with distinction. She has a special interest in working with pregnant women predisposed to back pain, and has taught a class called “Baby Your Back”, focused on anatomy, posture, body mechanics, and positions of comfort and exercise for pregnant women. Sandy also works with osteoporosis patients and has assisted in the development of an osteoporosis education and exercise program at Northwest Hospital in Seattle. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the section on Orthopedics, and the Washington State Physical Therapy Association. Sandy is married, and has a son. She enjoys trail running, hiking, camping, and cycling with her family.

Brenda Mitchell, Physical Therapist Assistant
Brenda Mitchell, PTA graduated in 1994 with honors from Whatcom Community College’s first physical therapist assistant program. She is certified in the Stott Pilates method and has completed extensive pilates and movement training in Seattle. She has provided group as well as private pilates instruction in both the studio and the rehabilitation setting. Brenda has focused exclusively on private pilates instruction during her ownership of Northwest Pilates and Bodywork Studio for the last two years. Her continuing education focus has included pilates-based movement re-education of shoulder girdle and spine dysfunction as well as osteoporosis. Most recently she has pursued training in Aston Patterning and is excited to incorporate these movement principles into physical therapy as well as pilates instruction practice. She is married with 3 beautiful boys and is a lifetime Whatcom County resident.

Stephanie Torres, Office Manager
Stephanie moved to Bellingham six years ago from Kansas and now considers herself a true "Hamster". She has worked in the healthcare industry for three years now and continues to have a passion for health and nutrition. She recently changed positions at Core from Administrative Assistant to Office Manager! In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys yoga, hiking, mountain biking, cooking, and spending time with her wonderful husband, Trevor and dog/child Spier.

Cary Christensen, Clinic Coordinator
Cary is a new resident to Bellingham by way of the mid-west and most recently California. Her career background is as varied as her moves; first and foremost a parent (now 2 adult sons), on to teaching and educational administration, followed by marketing and sales management in the craft and hobby industry.
