The Client’s responsibility

  • To understand your insurance coverage regarding your PT benefits
  • To secure a signed prescription from your physician or health care provider. Your health care provider can fax it to our office at 360-752-0271
  • To attend all appointments as scheduled and follow through with self-care plan at home.
  • To schedule appointments efficiently the first time and prevent cancellation/rescheduling of appointments to the best of their ability. When our cancellation rate is less than 10% for the month, Core PT makes a donation to a local charity. Thank you for thoughtfully scheduling your appointments, so that you can help yourself and the community!
  • To communicate any concerns, questions, or changes in medical status to your PT team immediately.
  • To assist the PT team in working towards your treatment goals during each session by remaining punctual at the beginning and the end of their treatment session.

The responsibilities of the PT Team

  • To communicate effectively in writing, in person and by phone with our client’s treatment team
  • To effectively address the questions and concerns of our clients
  • To create a healing and supportive environment for our clients
  • To remain curious in our profession and be lifelong learners
  • To stay goal-focused in our treatment plan and interventions.
  • To use each 45 to 60-minute treatment time efficiently and remain punctual for our present as well as our next client.

The Business office’s responsibilities

  • To submit all appropriate information to our billing office for timely and efficient billing of clients insurance/client.
  • To work with the client to find and secure the optimal available appointment times for their PT and Pilates appointments.
  • To keep them informed of any communication with their insurance company.
  • To forward any treatment-related questions or client concerns to a clinician.

Can I still go to Core PT if they are not a preferred provider for my network?
We are are happy to see clients with other insurance at the out-of-network rate. The out-of-network reimbursement rate may be less than the in-network rate for many plans, which means the client may have a higher co-pay for out-of-network PT services.

We do not accept Molina, DSHS or medical coupons.

How do I check my insurance benefits?

Talk with your health care provider about a prescription to physical therapy for your musculoskeletal condition. As a consumer, you may choose where you receive these services regardless of the referral pad on which the prescription is written. Choose the clinic that best meets your needs, by a physical therapist that specializes in the evaluation and treatment of your specific musculoskeletal condition. Your insurance may not require a physician’s prescription and, although Washington State allows Physical therapist practice without prescription, we prefer for clients to have had a physician’s screen prior to working with us.

Call your insurance company and ask the following questions:

  • What is my coverage for out-of-network physical therapy providers?
  • What is your coverage for in-network providers?
  • What is my maximal number of visits or maximal amount of financial coverage per year for physical therapy?
  • You are responsible for understanding the insurance coverage of your physical therapy treatment, and for paying the remainder of the claim which insurance does not cover.

Regence and HMA members may check their benefits and other helpful information at www.wa.regence.com.

Why aren't you a preferred provider for every insurance?

We are proud to be preferred providers through Regence Blue Shield, Premera Blue Cross, HMA, Uniform Medical, First Choice Health, Labor & Industries, Great-West Healthcare/Cigna, MedAdvantage and Medicare, and are delighted to care for their members. The amount of detailed information required to secure payment for medical services from numerous insurance companies with different policies is an exceptional task. If you visit medical offices, you will notice the number of talented individuals required to bill insurance companies and secure payment for the services provided.

We are a small clinic that emphasizes the provision of quality care at a reasonable price for clients who recognize the unique value of our services. When a health care professional bills insurance as a courtesy to their clients, they are providing a loan to each client for the dollar value of the services rendered. We appreciate our clients' taking responsibility for understanding their PT coverage and promptly paying for their portion of the services rendered.

Please know that we are sincerely looking forward to providing you with outstanding physical therapy services and that we value the opportunity to work with you.
